CHOOSING THE SILENCERS The SV silencers are defined depending on the following parameters:
Attenuation (dB) Cylindrical silencers SVB with core The indicated attenuation are related to the standard length. For every doubling of the length have to put on consideration an increasing of ~5 dB at 500Hz. The limit flow rate is related to a flow that generates an acoustic pressure level of 50 dB to 250 Hz, with pressure drop of ~35 Pa.
ACOUSTIC EFFICACY The attenuation represented in the table 1 and 2 has been determined through trials realized in condition of normal operation without interference noises.
The table 3 permit to define (according to the air flow and nominal diameter) the pressure drop of the silencers SVB. The pressure drop of the silencers SVA are comparable to those gives by a cyilindrical duct with the same diameter and length.
The self-generated noise from the air flow could restrict the SV silencers attenuation. Is necessary to check out if is lower at least of 10 dB, in every octave band, to the acoustic spectrum required from the silencers; for this kind of check please contact our technical assistance.
